Trevoh Chalobah followed his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the twenty-first pair of brothers to earn caps for the national team.

The Chelsea defender is set to be added to the Three Lions selection to replace injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to join the national side for England's last World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, but it has still not been confirmed.

The national side have already qualified for next summer's tournament.

Chalobah received his maiden invitation under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.

In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be left out from the team for qualifying games against Serbia and Andorra, and also did not select him for the subsequent October matches.

Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's development, having handed him his Chelsea first-team bow in 2021.

Chalobah has played in almost every fixtures for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the side third in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.

Guehi sustained a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over the Dutch side in their last match.

There are set to be additional inclusions to the squad. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has said that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the England setup.
