Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has suffered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
